Conservation in Action
We
At Longnor Heritage, we don’t just work on historic buildings — we look after what makes them special.
Every beam, every stone, every imperfect line has a story, and our job is to keep that story intact. We step in carefully, retaining original materials wherever we can and making sure every repair respects the character and significance of the building.
This is hands-on conservation. Not theory, not overreach — just the right work, done properly. We stabilise what’s failing, repair what can be saved, and use traditional methods and appropriate materials so the building continues to behave as it should.
We repair rather than replace. We step lightly rather than strip back. And we act early — managing moisture, protecting vulnerable areas, and stopping small issues becoming big ones.
The result? Buildings that remain weather-tight, structurally sound, and ready for the next chapter — without losing the character that made them worth preserving in the first place.
Violet's Barn,
Shropshire

This project set the conservation standard for the Griswold Estate. We stabilised structural movement and masonry decay before performing sensitive repairs with traditional, compatible materials. By retaining original openings, brickwork, and timber, we preserved the building’s character while restoring it for long term use.
Wild Rose House, Wolverhampton

This high-specification residence required balancing modern comfort with the protection of historic fabric. We managed structural alterations and internal upgrades by safeguarding existing features, controlling moisture risks, and detailing junctions to prevent future deterioration.
All Saints,
Nether Spiney

Conservation efforts focused on repairing weathered masonry and eliminating water ingress to improve the building’s resilience. By using breathable materials and stabilising vulnerable areas, we ensured the church remains structurally sound and weather-tight for continued use
