Project Manager – Heritage Works
The role of Project Manager is central to the way we deliver our work. It is a practical, hands-on position for someone who understands construction, enjoys organising people and projects, and takes real pride in seeing careful work completed properly. You will manage heritage, restoration and refurbishment projects on historic, listed and character properties across the Midlands.
This is not a large main-contractor role spent at a desk managing one vast development. Our projects are varied, typically smaller in scale, and require close attention to planning, workmanship, detail and client communication. You will turn agreed scopes of work into sensible site plans; coordinate labour, materials, subcontractors, access and sequencing; and work closely with two small works teams and their Team Leaders to keep projects safe, organised, on track and to the required standard. You will also maintain clear site records, photographs and progress updates, ensure RAMS and task instructions are followed, and identify problems early.
We are looking for an experienced construction, refurbishment or small-works Project Manager with sound practical judgement, a CSCS card and a driving licence. Experience of traditional building repair, listed buildings, lime, stone, timber, roofing or historic windows would be a real advantage, but the most important qualities are organisation, care, reliability and the ability to lead a small team well. In return, you will join a straightforward specialist contractor where good workmanship matters and you can genuinely help shape how projects are delivered.

Heritage Bricklayer
The role of Heritage Bricklayer is central to the work we do. It is a hands-on position for someone who understands traditional masonry, takes real pride in a properly finished job, and enjoys working on buildings where the detail matters. You will carry out high-quality brickwork, repairs, repointing and careful rebuilding on historic, listed and character properties.
This is not repetitive new-build work. Projects vary from local repairs and alterations to more involved conservation and restoration work, often requiring lime mortar, reclaimed brick and traditional bonds such as Flemish or English bond. You will work from drawings and specifications, use your tools safely and effectively, and coordinate with a small skilled team to keep sites tidy, safe and moving forward.
We are looking for an experienced, reliable bricklayer with a CSCS card, driving licence and a good grounding in traditional work. Heritage experience is an advantage, but care, sound judgement and a willingness to develop are just as important. In return, you will join a straightforward team that values craftsmanship and trusts people to do the job properly.

Heritage Carpenter/Joiner
The role of Heritage Carpenter/Joiner is central to the work we do. It is a hands-on position for someone who understands traditional joinery, takes pride in a properly finished job, and enjoys working on buildings where the detail matters. You will make, repair and install high-quality sash and casement windows, carrying out careful restoration work on historic, listed and character properties.
This is not repetitive workshop production. Projects vary from repairing decayed timber, splicing and glazing to making new traditional windows and fitting them on site. You will use appropriate materials and techniques, including repair resins where suitable, work from drawings and specifications, and coordinate with a small skilled team to keep work safe, tidy and moving forward.
We are looking for an experienced, reliable carpenter or joiner with a CSCS card, driving licence and sound practical knowledge of traditional work. Conservation experience is a real advantage, but care, problem-solving ability and a willingness to develop are just as important. In return, you will join a straightforward team that values craftsmanship and gives people the trust to do the job properly.

General Builder
The role of General Builder is central to the work we do. It is a practical, varied position for someone with a sound all-round building background who takes pride in a properly finished job. You will work on historic, listed and character properties, carrying out careful repairs, alterations and improvement work to a high standard.
This is not a role confined to one trade. Projects may involve carpentry, roofing repairs, masonry and repointing, plastering or lime plastering, tiling, and fitting kitchens or bathrooms, together with the associated building work. You will work from drawings and specifications, use your tools safely and effectively, and coordinate with a small skilled team to keep work safe, tidy and moving forward.
We are looking for an experienced, reliable multi-skilled builder with a CSCS card, driving licence and strong practical knowledge across the main building trades. Heritage or conservation experience is an advantage, but care, problem-solving ability and a willingness to develop are just as important. Construction Labourer
The role of Construction Labourer is an important part of the work we do. It is a practical, hands-on position for someone reliable, hard-working and willing to get properly involved in a busy heritage construction team. You will support work on historic, listed and character properties, helping us keep projects moving safely, efficiently and to a high standard.
No two days are quite the same. You will assist skilled tradespeople with day-to-day site work, move and unload materials, keep work areas clean and organised, use hand and power tools safely, and help with basic trade tasks where needed. You will work mainly locally, from our base at Longnor Hall and at clients’ properties across the Midlands, always following site procedures and health and safety requirements.
We are looking for a punctual, conscientious labourer with construction-site experience, a full UK driving licence and a good understanding of safe working practices. A CSCS card is preferred, but the right attitude, willingness to learn and ability to work well as part of a small team matter just as much. In return, you will join a straightforward team that values good work, provides training and PPE, and offers stable long-term employment.

Heritage Plasterer
The role of Heritage Plasterer is central to the careful repair and finishing work we carry out. It is a hands-on position for someone who understands the difference that proper preparation, appropriate materials and a well-finished surface can make. You will work on historic, listed and character properties, carrying out high-quality plastering, rendering, repairs and sympathetic reinstatement.
This is not simply modern skim work. Projects may involve lime plaster and lime render, traditional finishes, patch repairs, preparing damaged backgrounds and carefully matching existing work. You will protect historic fabric, work from drawings and specifications, use your tools safely and effectively, and assist with related building work when required as part of a small skilled team.
We are looking for an experienced, reliable plasterer with a CSCS card, driving licence and strong practical knowledge of plastering and rendering. Experience with lime and traditional materials is a real advantage, but care, sound judgement and a willingness to develop are just as important. In return, you will join a straightforward team that values craftsmanship and trusts people to do the job properly.
